Breakfast in Bed
Even though most days we hate our hubbies, there are those days when they sweep us off our feet again with lovely surprises. Like serving me breakfast in bed! Ain't my husband the sweetest? :)

Silence Speaks
For the past few days I've learned how silence can be such a powerful tool in sending a message across. I was not mad. We would engage in a dialogue if needed. We would make small talks about what was on TV. But in general, I was silent, if you get what I mean. I moved about the house as I would use to and do my chores as always. If he asks, I answer. But I knew he sensed something was the matter.
And then a miracle happened...
After breakfast one rainy morning, he picked up his plate and brought it to the sink. I can't believe it!!! =)

One Day At A Time
Love Actually is one of my most favorite movies EVER. (Do you get now
why I named this blog Marriage Actually?) It's the only movie I
bought in original DVD copy, and every year, I make it my own tradition
to watch it before Christmas approaches. The film may be overly
romanticized but hey, it works! The message is simple: Love actually...
is all around. True that, huh? I also believe that despite of the fact
that divorce is all around and legal separation is all around, marriage
actually is also all around!
However, in this day and age, getting married is filled with all
kinds of cynicism from people... yes, all around! Like they sort of
secretly wager on how many years a couple will last.
Hey, did you hear about Brad and Shane getting married last week? I betcha they will not even reach 2 years!
Eric and Sheila are hitched??? Oooooooh! Time to place your money on the table, people!

Talk
about pressure! Everybody's watching you. Everybody's trying to see how
far you will go. Everybody's watching how your life will turn around
after exchanging I do's. It is the way the cookie crumbles but I
personally do not want to succumb to such pressure. Instead, each day I
want to try to make the relationship work. It takes one day at a time as
the cliche goes. And I'm eager to find out how far that will take me. =)

Marriage Actually is... All Around
Yet again another blog. Marriage Actually hopes to chronicle my personal journey in marriage. For no matter how many books have been read about it, nothing really describes how marriage actually is unless you are in it already. First, let me say that as of this writing I am only barely seven months into my own marriage and still learning the ropes. I do not claim to be an expert! But together, maybe we can learn from each other's experiences and strengthen our relationships with our spouses along the way. =)
Welcome to my blog! Marriage actually is... all around.
